January Chills 2025 was held January 24 - 26th, 2025!

The JANUARY CHILLS tournament hosts COED, MEN'S/WOMEN'S, MASTERS AND LEGENDS divisions!

The January Chills tournament was established in 2007. This turf tournament is for everyone; all leagues and divisions. Like our Just for Kicks tournament, Chills is meant to be a fun and social way for our players/teams to enjoy friendly games all together - from neighbouring cities too!

Get ready to lace up your cleats and join the fun at the January Chills turf soccer tournament! Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for a great time with friends, this event is all about friendly competition, good vibes, and “chillin” with friends. Teams of all skill levels are welcome, so gather your squad and enjoy a weekend filled with action-packed games, footy and camaraderie - because the only thing better than soccer is soccer with friends!

January Chills location: Saskatoon Sports Centre at 150 Nelson Road

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Format is at the discretion of the scheduler. 

Limited space is available for this tournament; therefore teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis within each division. 

We will avoid hosting divisions with less than 4 teams and divisions with 5 teams.

The division selection on the application/registration form is just to give SAS a general idea of where you think your team fits, and does not necessarily reflect the division you will be placed.

SAS reserves the right to move teams from their requested division in order to create divisions that have a sufficient number of teams and most similar calibre. We will take your roster into consideration in order to create sufficient divisions. 

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS FOR TEAMS/PLAYERS

The following restrictions for teams and/or players currently registered in the SAS leagues include:

• Teams or players may move up divisions, but not down.

• Players are restricted to the HIGHEST DIVISION IN WHICH THEY ARE CURRENTLY REGISTERED.

TEAM REGISTRATION SUGGESTIONS/RESTRICTIONS

The following suggestions are based on each team's current registration in SAS leagues:

• Men's A - Div 1 & 2

• Men's B - Div 3 & 4

• Men's C - Div 5 & 6

• Men's Masters Rec (ONLY male players aged 35 and over)

• Men's Legends (ONLY male players aged 50 and over)

• Women's A - Div 1

• Women's B - Div 2

• Women's C - Div 3

• Women's Masters Rec (ONLY female players aged 30 and over) 

• Women's Legends (ONLY female players aged 45 and over)

• Coed A - Div 1 & 2

• Coed B - Div 3 & 4

• Coed C - Div 5 & 6

• Coed D - Div 7

• Coed Masters (Males aged 35 and older; Women aged 30 and older)

• Coed Legends (Males aged 50 and older; Women aged 45 and older)

These are recommendations for which division teams should enter their team. We do not guarantee you will be placed in the division requested. 

Please register in the appropriate division to the calibre of your players.

Teams will be added to another division if there are not enough teams entered to create a sufficient division. (I.e. Men's Legends to Men's Masters, Master's Women to Women's Rec B/C). These teams will also have the option of withdrawing from the tournament.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION

The January Chills Tournament is sanctioned, and therefore all players must be registered with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association (or their given provincial association) by way of a Member Organization such as Saskatoon Adult Soccer (SAS).

Please review what applies to you/your team before players proceed with adding themselves to your roster (registering):

• PLAYERS CURRENTLY REGISTERED WITH SASKATOON ADULT SOCCER (SAS)

• PLAYERS CURRENTLY REGISTERED WITHIN SK BUT NOT SAS

• PLAYERS CURRENTLY REGISTERED OUTSIDE OF SK

• PLAYERS CURRENTLY NOT REGISTERED

The $45 fee is non-refundable. Refunds will NOT be given.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED TO THEIR TEAM!

DEADLINE FOR PLAYERS TO REGISTER IS WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22 at 4:00pm.

NO EXCEPTIONS! FILL YOUR ROSTER UP IN CASE OF INJURIES OR DROP OUTS!
