AQHI - AT GAME PROCEDURES

An announcement will not be made if the office is unable to determine with 100% certainty that games will not be playable later in the day.

No announcement = game on!

At field procedures and information:

1. The minimum number of players must be present to avoid forfeit penalties:

League

Minimum #

Note

Full Field

7

 -

Half Field Coed

6

1 Female minimum

Half Field MWML

5

 -

MWML - Men's Women's Masters Legends

2. ID checks still take place and game sheets are signed by each Team Captain/ Team Contact.

3. If a half has started, it must continue until completed. Game should not be cancelled mid-half.

Levels can be reviewed at half time to determine if the second half is playable.

Once the 2nd half begins, the game should be completed to at least 2/3 of the entirety. Ideally, the entirety of the game is completed.

Note: Regular rules apply if the minimum number of players is not maintained throughout a half/game.

4. We follow the Canadian PM2.5 setting while also adhering to the government's recommendations:

Purple Air PM2.5

PROCEDURES

Levels 1 - 7

Game on as usual.

Levels 8 - 10

Teams may play if they so choose and will not be fined if they forfeit due to shortage of players.

At-risk participants should consider resting.

Games will not be rescheduled.

FULL field games ONLY are REDUCED to 40-min halves.

HALF field games are already reduced so they remain 25-min halves.

 Level 11+

The Match Official may cancel the game.

We reiterate, games may only be cancelled at the field with the Referee's discretion and confirmation of the Air Quality reaching level 11 with Canadian PM2.5 setting on Purple Air.

At the field of play, the decision is made by the officials and not the teams. When able, the games are expected to be played by the teams, and officiated by the Match Official.

Teams should not be pressuring the official to cancel / continue the game when it's not applicable. We expect these procedures to be respected and followed by all participants and officials.

Please report to the office is anyone is failing to comply.
