We may stop play when the AQHI reaches level 8.
Games are only cancelled ahead of the game time with confirmation and notification from the SAS office. Please see the News page for announcements or the home page of our website as an article.
Games may be cancelled at the field with the Referee's discretion and confirmation of the Air Quality reaching level 8.
At the field of play, the decision is made by the officials and not the teams. When able, the games are expected to be played by the teams, and officiated by the Match Official.
SAS follows Purple Air as the primary source for a more specified read of Air Quality in Saskatoon with their sensors throughout the city.
The government's Air Quality is measured from the Saskatoon Diefenbaker Airport alone.
The government's AQHI will be used as a secondary source if Purple Air is ever unavailable.
