We have focused on the recreational aspect of our league for years. We maintain our recreational leagues and encourage competitive play as well. This addition is an effort to give a home to the players that want and do take soccer more seriously - and play competitively.
Of course, we still offer our recreational leagues. Each (except Legends) will include Recreational 2 and beyond.
Players can register in both Competitive and Recreational. However, a Recreational team can only have a maximum of 20% Competitive division or Premier Players. See rule N. Special Circumstances below.
The specific rule changes pertaining to the Competitive & Recreational divisions are:
D. Competitive Divisions are the top divisions of each league except Legends. Legends remains Recreational even at the top level.
E. Recreational Divisions are those divisions throughout all leagues other than Division 1 Competitive in Men’s, Women’s, Masters, Coed and Coed Masters. I.e.: divisions 2 - 8.
F. Competitive Divisions, for indoor, are a combination of turf and boarded. The two styles of play are only offered in the competitive divisions including Coed and Coed Masters.
G. The Competitive Divisions will hold playoffs except Legends. See Playoffs section for further details.
H. Teams may not be promoted to the Competitive leagues without consent of the team. However, the Competitive teams may be moved to Recreational if not enough teams enter Competitive.
