Government of Saskatchewan / Sask Health: Mask Mandate - MASKS ARE MANDATORY!

Nov. 05, 2020

Following a Government of Saskatchewan announcement, effective Friday, November 6all residents in Saskatoon are required to wear masks in indoor public spaces to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Please be aware that all SSCI facilities have had a mandatory mask policy in effect as of October, 2020 for the protection of our players, families and the public.

Only the following people are exempt from the use of masks:

  • Children under 2 years of age
  • Anyone who is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance
  • Persons actively engaged in physical exercise

Please note team personnel and medical exemptions are NOT included in the above.

Please remember it is not the front line facility staff that implement these policies. They are just doing their job for your safety. Abuse of the staff will not be tolerated.

These rules have been implemented in order to keep our communities, leagues and facilities safe and active!

Non-compliance may be reported to the Public Health Authority and be subject to a fine, and further immediate action may also be undertaken by your appropriate sports organization (i.e.: league operator, training program, etc.) and SSCI.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.
